Your New Role
The Building Engineer will be a part of an Operations team responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a significant retail and office property in Surrey. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager in this role. The ideal candidate has experience as a Building Operator / Engineer onmercial and/or retail properties. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Performing repairs as well as regular and scheduled maintenance.

Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance programs.

Ensure Work Safe BC regulations are met and enforce WorkSafeBC safety standards.

Maintain records of maintenance, inspections and equipment performance.

Provide leadership to your team, stakeholders, and clients.

What you’ll need to succeed

4th or 5th Class Power Engineer Certification.

Experience with mechanical, HVAC, DDC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.

Prior building engineer / building operator experience.

Strongmunication skills.
