Doping Control Officer – Level 1
Sport Integrity Canada is seeking individuals to fill the vacancy of Doping Control Officer (DCO) – Level 1 on a part‑time casual employment basis in or near Whistler, Duncan, Surrey, Langley.
The role is assignment‑based and dependent on organizational needs in a particular region. DCOs conduct urine and blood sample collection sessions in‑competition and out‑of‑competition.
Job DescriptionIdeal candidates have completed post‑secondary education and/or have experience in physiotherapy, athletic therapy, physical education, law enforcement, healthcare and medical services, education or other similar fields. They are self‑starters, possess strong communication skills, are flexible to changing needs, diligent in following technical procedures and able to demonstrate effective leadership skills.

- To collect and assist with urine and blood sample collection sessions for in‑competition and out‑of‑competition testing missions
- To lead Level 1 doping control missions in accordance with the CADP as required
- To provide leadership, training and evaluation to chaperones as required
- Have a computer with internet access and a cell phone
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
- Be willing and able to travel
- Maintain certification through training mechanisms provided by Sport Integrity Canada
- Adhere to the rules of the CADP
- Successfully go through the steps of the Sport Integrity Canada screening policy including a criminal records check
- Be willing to witness passing of a urine sample by athletes of the same gender as the DCO
Up to five assignments per month, potentially up to 15 in peak periods. Assignment duration typically ranges between a few hours to a full workday. Hours are variable and may include early weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Additional Qualifications and Skills- Education:
High school diploma and/or post‑secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant position - Language

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills required; preferred French language skills - Leadership

Hourly rate $18 per hour plus expenses.
