Discovery Community College has an instructing opportunity available for the right individual to help guide our students through their HCA training.

• Theory
• Lab (Personal Care) & Clinical Instructor
• Program Educator

Our instructors play a vital role in changing lives and positively impacting the health care sector in BC, leading students through their laboratory and clinical training toward entering the workforce as fully qualified and desperately needed HCAs. The instruction will be onsite at our Surrey campus lab and at local facilities (clinical).

• Passion for making a real difference required!
• Current full registration with the BCCNM – required.
• Two or more years of full-time nursing experience – required.
• 3900 hours of nursing experience
• nursing experience must include working with older adults with complex health needs
• Nursing experience must include experience or orientation in home support and multi-level care
• Ability to teach adult learners (mentoring / instructing)
• Provincial Instructors Diploma and previous experience or
• Aptitude and willingness to learn and obtain an Instructor Diploma (with our help)
