Senior Video Production Supervisor
Lead pre-production planning meetings by reviewing scripts and collaborating with writers, producers, and production stakeholders to define shoot requirements
Oversee on-set production operations including scheduling, time management, cross-functional communication, and adherence to safety standards
Set up and operate cameras, lighting, playback, and audio equipment to ensure high-quality capture
Prepare filming locations, manage gear setup, and troubleshoot camera, lighting, and audio systems during production
Plan and execute supporting shoots such as B-roll, sponsored integrations, product segments, and thumbnail capture
Mentor and coach camera operators to ensure consistent visual standards and continuous development
Manage administrative responsibilities including crew scheduling, time-off coordination, performance reviews, reporting, and production communications
Maintain production resources including equipment tracking, shot documentation, workflow documentation, and coordination for offsite or travel-based shoots
Participate in production team meetings to proactively identify and resolve pipeline conflicts or scheduling challenges
What you must have:
Advanced, hands-on expertise with professional camera systems, lighting setups, audio capture, and on-set technical workflows
Proven supervisory experience, including conducting performance conversations, delegating tasks, training team members, and managing team development
Demonstrated experience leading production teams in fast-paced digital, broadcast, or entertainment environments
Strong real-time troubleshooting ability with the composure to manage production sprints, embargo-driven deadlines, and high-pressure filming situations
Nice to have:
Background in entertainment, broadcast, creator-driven digital media, or similar high-volume production environments
Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Airtable, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Lattice, Offshoot, or Google Workspace
Working knowledge of post-production workflows with the ability to support editors by providing context and technical insight
Experience managing production documentation, SOP development, and equipment inventory systems
Salary/Rate Range: $80,000 – $110,000

Based in Surrey, British Columbia
Primarily on-site due to the highly hands-on and technical nature of the role
Fast-paced, collaborative production environment with occasional high-intensity production cycles tied to major releases or events
Target compensation range: CAD $80,000 – $110,000 base salary, plus discretionary bonus and benefits
