Forbes Bros. Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Labourer - Civil (full‑time, permanent) to join our growing FB Bullet team based out of Vernon, BC. Specializing in shallow utility construction in the lower mainland, the FB Bullet team continues to see significant growth in the northern region.

The Labourer - Civil will support crews with assigned site tasks and jobs to ensure that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, ability to adapt to changing working conditions and prioritize safety and quality.

• Pay as per the collective bargaining agreement ($28.14 - $56.27), based on level of experience

• Assist with and execute day‑to‑day activities as required to meet project and client deadlines
• Provide labor support in various functions as required by project
• Complete pre‑trips and preventative maintenance as required in addition to all required daily paperwork
• Participate and engage in daily Tailboard meetings, identify hazards and assist in crew compliance to safety policies and regulations
• Conduct groundwork including shoveling snow, raking, pumping water, and prepping ground for concrete
• Ensure cleanliness of sites by routinely removing garbage and other debris
• Load and unload various materials to work site and vice versa
• Operate and maintain tools, hand tools, equipment in compliance with company policies and standards
• Adhere to safety protocols and policies as outlined
• Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned

• Minimum one (1) year experience in the Construction Industry, is required
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License is required
• Ability to recognize site hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards with crew members
• Able and willing to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedules
• Perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
• Able and willing to present an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract upon employment
