Job OverviewAs the Maintenance Technician, you will perform general maintenance tasks including general clean up, painting, building and equipment maintenance and repairs, ensuring systems are properly maintained and operational and the community is kept safe and clean.
Compensation: $23 per hour. First Service Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
YourResponsibilities
- Perform general maintenance (electrical, painting, drywall repair, roof cleanings) on buildings, systems, common areas and amenities.
- Maintain recreational amenities (i.e. community pool, lounge areas, outdoor fire pit, fenced dog park, rooftop terraces).
- Conduct routine inspections.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose issues and make necessary repairs.
- Complete grounds work to keep the outside of the community safe, clean and free of debris.
- Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas and amenities by picking up trash and debris in enclosures and throughout the community.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Complete maintenance reports, documentation, records and other necessary paperwork.
- Respond to emergencies as needed which may include weekends, holidays, or overnight.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.
- Able to use tools, equipment, and chemicals safely.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Superior manual dexterity skills.
- Organized, with the ability to prioritize and adjust to incoming demands.
- Strong communication and customer relations skills.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience (required).
- CPO and EPA Certification is a plus.
- Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Work will be primarily outdoors.
- Able to work in various weather conditions such as heat, rain, cold, wind, etc.
