Director of Finance Multi-Entity Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Director of Finance to lead and oversee all financial operations for Etico LLC and the companies we support. This is a senior leadership role responsible for financial strategy, compliance, and day‑to‑day controller functions across five independent companies and multiple divisions
, including oversight of Accounting, Human Resources, Safety, and Risk Management
.

This role works closely with ownership and senior leadership and is ideal for someone who can think strategically while still rolling up their sleeves.

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across five companies and multiple divisions
• Perform hands‑on controller responsibilities, including payroll, AP/AR, general ledger, job costing, and WIP
• Oversee and support Accounting, HR, Safety, and Risk Management functions
• Ensure compliance with all tax, licensing, labor, insurance, and safety requirements
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and scalable financial systems (Spectrum)
• Partner with ownership to support strategic business decisions, growth planning, and risk mitigation
• Improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and cross‑department communication

• 10+ years of financial and accounting leadership in the construction industry
• Proven experience managing multi‑entity, multi‑division financial operations
• Strong understanding of construction accounting, job costing, WIP, and cash flow management
• Hands‑on experience with Spectrum (preferred) or similar construction ERP systems
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams while remaining detail‑oriented and execution‑focused
• High integrity, sound judgment, and comfort operating in a fast‑moving environment
• CPA or MBA preferred, but not required

• Salary Range: $125,000+ DOE
