Responsibilities
- Review FTTH/FTTP permit applications and designs to ensure proper offsets from existing utilities and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Analyze and manage geographic data using a GIS system to track permit locations and infrastructure assets.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and permitting agencies to address design conflicts or required modifications.
- Ensure accuracy of submitted plans by cross-referencing survey data, utility maps, and right-of-way requirements.
- Maintain and update permitting records, GIS databases, and project documentation.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding permitting issues, design revisions, and compliance requirements.
- Stay up to date with permitting guidelines, industry standards, and local ordinances.
- Experience in telecom permitting, utility coordination, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar) for managing spatial data and reviewing permit polygons.
- Familiarity with telecom infrastructure, right-of-way regulations, and utility mapping.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- [Preferred] Knowledge of CAD software for reviewing design files.
- [Preferred] Experience working with local permitting agencies and jurisdictions.
