Special Education Teacher

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Special Education Teacher that is available for the 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university
• Valid State of Arizona professional teacher certificate with Special Education Endorsement
• AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Knowledge of core academic subjects, curriculum, and ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and policies affecting special education
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavior disorders and cognitive delays, preferred
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and demonstrate initiative
• Physical ability to stand or sit for extended periods, see and read printed and digital materials, hear and understand speech, and lift up to 40 pounds as needed
• Driver’s License

Job Description:

Caseload and classroom details vary based on school location. Recruitment Specialists will discuss specifics upon application to match your experience and skills.

This position is contracted through the 2025/2026 school year, with a workweek of 37.5 to 40 hours, following the academic district calendar.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and programs tailored to students’ needs
• Adapt curriculum based on IEPs and diverse learning styles
• Maintain communication with parents about student progress and collaborate on support strategies
• Create a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
• Implement behavior management strategies
• Provide individualized and group instruction using specialized techniques
• Assess and record student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
• Modify curriculum and materials according to IEP goals
• Conduct evaluations and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with educators and specialists
• Engage in professional development and ensure compliance with regulations

Salary:

$1,687.50 – $1,950.00/week
