Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for a 1st Class IV Master with RORO experience, located in Surat. Responsibilities include ensuring safe navigation and operation of RORO vessels, managing crew and onboard operations, ensuring vessel compliance with maritime regulations, and maintaining communication with relevant port and marine authorities. The role also involves conducting pre-departure and arrival checks, ensuring passenger and cargo safety, and overseeing emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in navigation, ship handling, and proficiency in RORO vessel operations
- Knowledge of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and compliance standards
- Leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in English for reporting and coordination
- Valid 1st Class IV Master certification and relevant seafaring experience on RORO vessels
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act under pressure during emergencies
- Familiarity with offshore and port-related operations (preferred)
- Flexibility and willingness to work on-site in Surat
