Roles & Responsibilities of Jewellery Merchandiser
Coordinate with design, production, and sales teams to develop jewellery collections as per market trends
Plan and manage product assortments based on customer demand, pricing, and profitability
Track orders from sampling to final dispatch , ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
Source and manage raw materials (gold, diamonds, gemstones) in coordination with procurement
Ensure costing, pricing, and margin control for each product/category
Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences
Manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages
Liaise with vendors, karigars, and manufacturers for timely execution
Ensure compliance with quality, hallmarking, and company standards
Support sales teams with product knowledge, catalogues, and client-specific requirements
Prepare MIS reports related to sales, stock, orders, and profitability
Coordinate for exhibitions, launches, and seasonal collections
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of gold, diamond, and gemstone jewellery
Understanding of manufacturing processes and costing
Trend forecasting and market analysis skills
Excellent coordination and negotiation abilities
Attention to detail and time management
Qualifications
Proficiency in Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with clients and understand their requirements
Experience in merchandising or Product Development in Jewellery Field is Must.
Knowledge of Marketing strategies relevant to the jewellery industry
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in an on-site work environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Prior experience in the jewellery sector is a plus
Bachelor's degree or a related field is preferred
