About the Role:

Kikko.

House is seeking a skilled and creative R&D Chef to lead café menu development and kitchen operations. The role focuses on creating and standardizing café-style food, ensuring daily mise en place readiness, hiring and training kitchen staff, and maintaining consistent quality across all dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

Menu Development & R&D
Develop, test, and finalize café menu items (breakfast, light bites, desserts, beverages support)
Standardize recipes, portion sizes, plating, and food costing
Update menu offerings based on customer feedback, seasonality, and café trends
Kitchen Operations & Mise en Place
Plan and supervise daily mise en place for smooth café service
Ensure hygiene, food safety, and quality consistency at all times
Control food wastage and maintain inventory efficiency
Hiring & Team Management
Assist in hiring Commis Chefs and kitchen helpers
Set up SOPs for café kitchen operations
Training & Execution
Train Commis Chefs to independently handle café kitchen stations
Monitor execution during service to ensure adherence to standards
Requirements:
Experience as an R&D Chef or Senior Chef in a café-focused setup
Strong understanding of café food, menu engineering, and costing
Ability to build, train, and manage a small kitchen team
Hands-on approach with strong operational discipline

Timings:  9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary:  ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 per month (based on experience)
