The School of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Superior invites applications for the faculty position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting. The school is seeking individuals who will provide excellent undergraduate instruction, incorporate current techniques in teaching and research, and work collaboratively to strengthen the school’s business programs.
Responsibilities- Provide quality teaching and advise students within the School of Business and Economics (SBE), perform services to the SBE and university, and engage in scholarly activities.
- Take a leading role in developing and teaching courses both on-campus and online for the Accounting major, as well as other business courses as needed.
- Committed to building community among students and faculty within SBE and the university.
- PhD earned by August 26, 2026, from a school/college accredited by the AACSB or similar accrediting body with a curricular emphasis in the field of Accounting or a closely related field.
- Instructor of record for at least one semester teaching Accounting or a closely related field in-person and/or online in higher education.
- At least one peer-reviewed journal article published as evidence of quality scholarship.
- At least two semesters serving as instructor of record teaching Accounting in-person and/or online at the university level.
- Experience with using a variety of teaching methods in a higher-education classroom.
- This position is currently ineligible for H1-B sponsorship. A qualification for this position includes independent eligibility to work within the United States upon hire date.
