As a Certified Nursing Assistant, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

* Care for the personal care and hygiene needs of patients at home or in facilities

* Work with a team to deliver excellent patient care

* Help with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutritional intake

* Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises

* Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or equipment

A few must-haves for Certified Nursing Assistants:

* High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in California

* Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience in a medical facility

* CPR certification

* Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations

* Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Drivers License and reliable transportation
