Material Handler II - PICKER 2nd Shift

Primary Objective

Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

• Sit‑Down Forklift
• Stand‑Up/Reach Forklift
• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets. Key order into Warehouse Management System (WMS). Verify stock availability and audit orders for accuracy. Convey picked orders to packing station or shipping areas.

Operate various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking. Open crates and inspect product. Apply labels to product according to established procedures. Verify shading of product and place into accurate warehouse location.

Utilize powered industrial equipment to move product into pre‑designated areas within warehouse once received. Key location of product into inventory control system and place product onto shelves. Ensure product is placed in accurate location.

Wrap and pack products by hand into boxes for shipping. Label boxes with packing slip. Load boxes into conveyor belt. Verify orders for accuracy.

Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor. Follow standard operating and safety procedures. Keep area safe, clean, and organized. Perform other related duties as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit‑down forklift, reach truck, and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills. Good record‑keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal‑Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
