Sunnyvale is seeking an experienced Nursing Director to lead our Med‑Surg/Telemetry unit. This role is responsible for the clinical, operational, and financial performance of the department, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care and supporting organizational goals.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide leadership and direction for the Med‑Surg/Telemetry unit
  • Oversee staffing, quality, safety, service, and patient experience
  • Support and mentor nursing leaders using Evidence‑Based Leadership practices
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and the CNO to resolve issues and improve care
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives and manage departmental budgets
What Your Day Will Look Like
  • Provide leadership to managers and /or frontline level professional staff
  • Develop long‑term plans and strategies for area of defined responsibility aligned with established functional strategies, and work with subordinate managers to operationalize and execute the strategy
  • Meet staffing productivity goals for each department on a predetermined basis (HPPD)
  • Communicate priorities and monitor progress, and provide direction and course corrections
  • Establish budgets and be accountable for managing to achieve expectations
  • Make decisions guided by resource availability and functional objectives
  • Apply knowledge to develop unit staff and ensure that the hemodynamic status of patients and interpretation of results are appropriate and within the nursing scope of practice
  • Ensure that staff are competent in the nursing process and equipment functioning for the unit
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (TX)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • 3‑5 years of Leadership Experience
