House Supervisor PRN Days – Tenet Healthcare

Responsibilities• Provide administrative support to staff in the absence of the Manager and/or Director or designee.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to coordinate quality patient care.
• Facilitate patient placement and timely patient throughput to appropriate care settings.
• Work collaboratively with Unit Shift Managers, providing guidance and direction in daily operations.
• Adhere to and support hospital and department policies, acting as a resource for staff.
• Identify and intervene with Human Resource issues, communicating these to the appropriate Director/AOC.
• Participate in disciplinary action of staff as warranted.
• Assist at month’s end to ensure all renewals of licensure and certifications are completed.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure schedules meet Unit needs and minimize agency personnel usage.
• Review appropriateness of specialty bed use to prevent falls and pressure ulcers.
• Round in patient rooms, ensuring the completion of whiteboards to engage patients and improve inpatient satisfaction.
- Required:
Academic degree in nursing. - Preferred:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nursing or a related field (health administration, business, public health, or management).
- Required:
2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full‑time charge nurse/related position.
- Required:
Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law or regulation in the state of practice. - AHA BLS and, if applicable by corporate policy for the unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
