About the Role
The Media Platform team builds the foundational backend systems that power media ingestion, processing, intelligence, and delivery for Uber's Safety ecosystem. We enable teams to build safety products on top of reliable, scalable media infrastructure without needing to manage scale, privacy, or compliance complexities.
As an L4 Backend Engineer, you will build and improve core backend services that handle high-scale media workflows. You'll contribute to systems that directly support incident response, safety investigations, and media-driven decision-making across Uber.

The base salary range for this role is USD $171,000 per year - USD $190,000 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles:
The base salary range for this role is USD $171,000 per year - USD $190,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
