Senior, Software Engineer

Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, Dev Ops, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.

What you'll do...

• Author production Edge Connect Recipes.
• Engage with the team (or customer) to manage and communicate timelines and efforts to deliver features.
• Work with partners to define and scope new solutions for Walmart and vendors.
• Work with the Product & Engineering teams to determine the best solution for an application – based on a deep understanding of our product & services capabilities.
• Develop features and/or fix bugs in Edge Connect and Edge Direct codebase as a contributor.

• Security first approach to IoT solution design.
• Passion for troubleshooting solutions distributed across many systems, companies, vendors etc.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Golang.
• Experience with Linux – Bonus points for Ubuntu Core.
• Understanding of Linux networking – (TCP/IP, x509, TLS).
• Understanding of BLE concepts.
