A Program Manager at Google will lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from concept to production ramp, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross‑functional partners across the company. As the NPI Operations Program Manager, you will be instrumental in bringing innovative products to market efficiently and effectively, acting as the primary link between Product Operations/Supply Chain and hardware development.
Responsibilities- Lead large, complex, cross‑functional NPI Program teams to prepare from concept to production ramp and manage end‑to‑end product life‑cycle transitions.
- Plan and execute NPI operations development activities, ensuring successful transition from NPI to production while delivering cost, quality and capacity targets.
- Manage Manufacturing Ramp readiness with internal teams and external partners, covering material availability, quality, reliability, cost, assembly, test, BOM, and capacity ramp readiness and transition plans.
- Drive cross‑functional teams to optimize product operations and supply chain to enable the Google Cloud Product Roadmap, accounting for risks, schedule changes, budget, resources and customer demand.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in program or project management.
- Experience in NPI Operations.
- Experience in manufacturing or manufacturing operations.
- 5 years of experience in hardware and manufacturing operations.
- 2 years of experience managing cross‑functional or cross‑team projects.
- Knowledge of hardware Bill of Materials (BOMs), process documentation and assembly and test processes.
- Ability to communicate project requirements and schedules effectively.
- Excellent leadership, investigative, quantitative reasoning, problem‑solving, creativity and strategic skills.
