IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic‑assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. IT Collaboration Tools Project Manager (Contract) – hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our Customer's business needs on a contract basis.

The following locations are not currently considered for applicants:
Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

• Lead project teams to design and implement new applications and systems or enhance existing solutions.
• Manage one or more small or medium‑size projects with moderate complexity.
• Deliver projects within defined start and end dates, scope, budget, and performance objectives.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion related to project execution.
• Manage projects typically ranging from $100,000 to $5,000,000.
• Gather, define, and document project requirements.
• Communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations to all project team members.
• Independently plan and maintain project tasks and schedules.
• Identify and creatively solve complex project challenges.
• Lead project teams to deliver milestones on time and on budget.
• Conduct project kick‑off meetings and phase gate reviews.
• Ensure project teams have the necessary tools and training.
• Record, track, and communicate project issues, risks, changes, and status in alignment with PMO standards.
• Drive all project tasks and work streams to successful completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans.
• Monitor critical milestones and proactively mitigate risks and issues.
• Assess project performance and implement changes to keep projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership in a timely and accurate manner.
• Build and maintain productive working relationships with sponsors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Prepare accurate and complete project documentation.

• 5+ years of experience managing moderately complex IT products or software development projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective presentation abilities.
• Advanced understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Experience working in a PMO environment as a Project Lead or Project Manager.
• Advanced project management knowledge and technical competence.

• Experience managing projects related to facilities or physical security.
• Experience implementing or upgrading collaboration tools such as Zoom, Office 365, Slack, Box, or Lucid.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet and Anaplan.
• Understanding of IT roles, responsibilities, and resource planning.
• Experience managing resource plans and balancing resources across projects and programs.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
