Data Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA/Austin, TX (Hybrid). You will design and build scalable data solutions by developing high‑quality SQL, Python, and Spark pipelines.
Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data EngineerJob Responsibilities Include
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Spark to support data processing and analytics needs.
- Build, optimize, and troubleshoot ETL/ELT workflows to ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Work with large datasets to perform data cleansing, validation, and quality checks for reliable downstream consumption.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Monitor pipeline performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements for speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Maintain clear documentation of data processes, workflows, and code to support ongoing maintenance and team knowledge‑sharing.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, or large‑scale data processing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark with proven experience building and optimizing data pipelines.
- Ability to work with large datasets, perform data quality checks, and troubleshoot pipeline performance issues in production environments.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
