- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 8 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) or 5 years of experience with a Master's degree.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will evaluate and improve Google's products. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and analysts on a wide range of problems. You will bring scientific accuracy and statistical methods to the challenges of product creation, development, and improvement with an appreciation for the behaviors of the end user. The Applied AI team focuses on building and deploying AI agents for enterprise customers across a variety of industries.
The organization has historically not had a data team and we are building one from scratch. This is a great opportunity for someone who grows in ambiguity, has a strong product mindset, and enjoys working in a 0-1 startup environment. In this role, you will inform product strategy and launches and play a critical role in how we shape and scale the team.
You will have a track record of working with AI. You will rapidly prototype ideas, and contribute to a team that's driven to exceed industry expectations. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

- Be the end-to-end data owner of a product area and closely collaborate with your respective engineering, product, and UX leads to build products that have product market fit and traction in the market.
- Be comfortable working with ambiguity and understand the broader business context and propose solutions that help propel the team forward and make effective data driven decisions.
- Be a proactive thought partner and strategic partner to your cross-functional partners.
- Work on creating, improving, and assessing eval data sets to improve AI agent quality.
