Technology Program Manager - Infrastructure, Automation & AI Operations

Overview

A global operations organization is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Technology Program Manager (TPM) to support large‑scale operational transformation initiatives. This role sits within a Scaled Operations environment and focuses on improving internal workflows, operational efficiency, and automation through advanced infrastructure and AI‑driven solutions.

The TPM will lead complex, cross‑functional programs that require deep technical understanding, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure, AI, automation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities Technical Program Leadership
  • Lead medium‑ to large‑scale technology solution implementations across automation, AI, and infrastructure domains.
  • Drive end‑to‑end program execution across analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post‑launch optimization.
  • Facilitate system design discussions across Infrastructure and Security domains, ensuring scalability, robustness, and compliance.
  • Architect end‑to‑end automation solutions and guide technical design decisions.
Operational Workflow Optimization
  • Analyze, map, and redesign internal operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for AI‑driven automation.
  • Evaluate complex support flows and recommend improvements to processes, policies, and product experiences.
  • Develop reusable playbooks, templates, and best practices to scale automation across operational teams.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Vendor teams to drive alignment and ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage cross‑functional programs spanning multiple product areas and business lines.
  • Foster strong working relationships across medium‑to large‑scale organizations.
Program Execution & Delivery
  • Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and mitigation strategies to ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Track, analyze, and report on operational metrics and automation impact to guide prioritization and optimization.
  • Operate autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational discipline.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management or related fields.
  • Proven experience leading medium‑ to large‑scale technology implementations, particularly in automation, AI, or infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and complex problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally in large organizations.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application to business process optimization.
  • Knowledge of software development processes, best practices, and project/issue tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver results across multiple teams.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI‑driven efficiency programs in partnership with engineering or product teams.
  • Experience with server architecture, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, or product management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud architecture.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI‑coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Git Hub Copilot, Codeium).
  • Experience with deep learning, neural networks, or agentic workflows.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, or related technical field.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Background in technology companies or consulting environments.
Success Criteria
  • Ability to perform day‑to‑day responsibilities with minimal oversight.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication.
  • Effective navigation of ambiguity and high‑velocity environments.
  • Consistent delivery of high‑impact, scalable automation and infrastructure programs.
