Sr Technical Program Manager, Device Ad Products & Personalization

We are building advertising products to help advertisers reach audiences while delighting end users on Amazon devices and 1P applications such as Fire TV by serving relevant ads. We are seeking a senior TPM to drive complex, cross-organizational goals and deliver innovative ad experiences to end users.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teams owning medium to large distributed services; thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and manage ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and business audiences up and down the organization.
  • Architect and scale services aligned with the program vision; anticipate bottlenecks and balance business needs with technical constraints.
  • Break down complex challenges into manageable projects; prototype with technologists and deliver with engineering teams in a timely manner.
  • De-risk situations with a pragmatic approach and take calculated bets.
  • Collect requirements, write detailed functional and test specifications, and coordinate scope, schedule, and deployment of new features; analyze cost/benefit and report results across the organization.
  • Interface with multi-discipline teams and partners across Amazon (e.g., Advertising core stack, FireTV, Prime Video, Alexa, and other Devices); communicate with diverse organizational areas (e.g., legal, finance).
  • Own projects end-to-end and contribute to building exciting new Ad experiences for Amazon.
What a day in the life looks like

Lead technical planning, coordination, architecture, and implementation of multiple projects within a program. Manage full lifecycle from technical requirements and system design to stakeholder alignment, implementation, and production rollout. Collaborate with Program Managers, Product Managers, and engineers and work with teams across Amazon on planning and execution of high-impact, technically complex projects.

About the team

This role is in the Entertainment, Device & Grocery ad Experiences (EDGE) team, part of Amazon Publisher Monetization (APM). The team aims to create innovative Ad experiences on Amazon Devices, improving customer convenience and options.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
  • Experience developing and delivering product and technical roadmaps
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management discipline including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location.
