Android Lab Engineer

Our client, a leading global technology company is seeking an Android R&D Lab Engineer to join their team. As an Android R&D Lab Engineer
, you will be part of the Research & Development Department supporting the Mobile Device Testing and Lab Operations teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Android R&D Lab Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, California (on-site)
Pay Rate: $55-60/hr

• Monitor, maintain, and upgrade the lab infrastructure, including hardware, software, and device test environments.
• Flash, configure, and troubleshoot Android devices using platform tools, scripts, and internal utilities.
• Research, reproduce, and diagnose device failures on Android phones and iPhones to ensure optimal device performance.
• Support scripting and automation tasks to enhance device handling and streamline lab workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to validate device builds, investigate issues, and maintain device readiness for testing.

• Knowledge of the Android Platform, including build tools and flashing procedures.
• Experience with Android internals and scripting, as well as iOS scripting using Apple Configurator.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting or similar command line tools.
• Understanding of iOS internals and configuration via MDM is a plus.
• Educational background in computer science, IT, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
