As a Senior Data Scientist on the Applied AI team for Merchandising, I will design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models to optimize pricing strategies and assortment decisions across Walmart’s global retail operations. My work will involve analyzing large‑scale data to uncover actionable insights, collaborating with cross‑functional teams—including engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders—to translate business needs into impactful AI solutions, and ensuring that our models are robust, scalable, and aligned with Walmart’s commitment to fairness and customer‑centricity.

By leveraging the latest advancements in AI and data science, I will help drive smarter, data‑driven merchandising decisions that enhance both business outcomes and the customer experience.

• Deep expertise in machine learning, optimization, and statistical modeling, with a proven track record of deploying models in production environments.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets in a fast‑paced, impact‑driven environment.
• Strong background in retail, pricing, or assortment optimization is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
