Senior Manager, Software Engineering

As Senior Manager Engineering in Data Ventures, you will lead a Dev Ops team of engineers. Your role spans strategy, delivery, Januaries, and operations cutting across the Data Ventures portfolio, blending technical leadership with people and process management.

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Dev Ops engineers.
- Define and execute the Dev Ops strategy aligned with business goals.
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and secure releases.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, scalability, availability, and performance.
- Drive Dev Sec Ops practices, including security automation and compliance.
- Ensure high system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and incident правило?

- Collaborate with engineering, QA, security, and product teams.
- Establish and track Dev Ops metrics (DORA, uptime, MTTR, deployment frequency).

- Define standards, best practices, and governance for Dev Ops operations.
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.

- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot open issues and bug fixes, and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Troubleshoot production issues: gather impact data, engage support teams, formulate action plans, perform root‑cause analysis, and complete documentation.
- Provide business support: respond to queries, discuss feasibility, and facilitate cross‑functional partnerships.
- Lead discovery phase for medium‑to‑large projects, creating high‑level designs with product and user‑experience teams.
- Offer expert guidance, maintain alignment with customer and business needs的一.
- Implement business solutions, partner with key stakeholders, and manage processes.
- Model compliance with company policies, supporting mission and values.

- Strong understanding of Java and Microservices.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Cloud (Azure/GCP/AWS), Kafka or similar, Memcached/Redis, relational DBMS (MySQL, Oracle).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product/project management.
- CI/CD experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins.
- End‑to‑end ownership of at least one cloud‑based project; experience building extensible platforms gestor pipelines is desirable.
- Strong drive for change and ability to adapt quickly; proficient in emerging tech.
- Balance long‑term big picture with short‑term trade‑offs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: negotiation, facilitation, consensus building, and persuasion.
- Mentor and coach senior staff engineers and other engineers.
- Focus on reusability, frameworks, patterns, and configuration tools for rapid development.
