1 month onboarding and on-the-job training Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, followed by shift schedule: 1 each A and B schedule 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM; 2 each A and B schedule 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM (A = Sunday to Wednesday, B = Wednesday to Saturday).
This is a long‑term, ongoing Data Center Technician opportunity within a new lab. The technician will work on the IT build‑out and support of the pre‑production lab, including racks, bench testing areas, and related infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot a variety of servers and isolate problems that arise.
- Order replacement parts, install them in servers, and ship defective parts back to vendors.
- Update firmware on servers to ensure the latest version is installed.
- Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers.
- Assist network administrators with issues such as replacing broken cables, re‑routing cables to different ports, replacing optics on server and switch ports, or installing upgraded parts.
- Temporarily rack and stack a server or switch in a cabinet and cable it so the network admin can log in remotely and run configurations.
- Assist network administrators who request specific assistance with servers or switches.
- Perform Level 1 responsibilities as necessary.
- Data center, rack and stack, Linux, cabling, hardware troubleshooting, racking, troubleshooting, data center maintenance.
- Independent, logical problem‑solving in a L2 break/fix environment with no remote hands or walkthrough support.
- Ability to conduct Level 1 rack/stack for deployments.
- Two recent valid references required.
Contract position based out of Sunnyvale, CA. Full onsite. Seniority level:
Entry level.

Pay range: $35.00 per hour.
