If yes, we want you on our team! PACE is a non-public K-12 school with campuses in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale, CA, serving students with autism.
PACE SLP caseloads typically consist of 10-15 students.
Our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) primarily provide specialized services to students in the PACE school who have IEPs requiring SLP support.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and prepare comprehensive school-based reports.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and IEP teams to modify services, accommodations, and facilitate skill generalization.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid California license from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including speaking, writing, listening, motivating, inspiring, collaborating, and delegating.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift or push at least 45 lbs with assistance for transporting materials or equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate and implement behavior management techniques (training provided).
- Capable of performing office tasks, including typing and computer work.
Personal Attributes:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Enjoy working with and relating to people.
