Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Systems Engineer, Electronics Engineer
Open to different levels from senior to staff (3+ years)
We’re scaling a next-generation hardware platform from prototype to high-volume production and are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who thrives in fast-moving, execution-driven environments. You’ll own schematics, PCB layout, and design-for-manufacture, ensuring complex boards are built right the first time and scale smoothly into production.
This role is highly execution-focused. You’ll design and lay out boards, lead bring-up in the lab, and act as the primary technical interface with contract manufacturing partners. You’ll help evaluate early concepts, set realistic timelines, and assess suppliers and components from datasheet review through hands-on testing. You’ll collaborate closely with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing engineers to integrate electronics into tightly constrained products and deliver reliable hardware at speed.
ResponsibilitiesBoard Design
- Own schematic capture and PCB layout for complex, high-performance boards (compute modules, high-speed interfaces, power systems, sensors)
- Evaluate early design ideas for feasibility and contribute to realistic schedules in a rapidly evolving development environment
- Identify and evaluate components and suppliers through datasheet review, prototyping, and hands-on validation
- Apply DFM/DFX principles to ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and scalable
- Partner directly with manufacturing partners to review builds, catch issues early, and maintain quality through ramp
- Lead the EE side of prototype and production build phases, ensuring smooth transitions into volume
- Drive board bring-up, debugging, and validation in the lab using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analysis tools
- Work closely with mechanical and manufacturing teams on packaging, connectors, and thermal constraints
- Produce clear schematics, layout guidance, bring-up procedures, and test documentation
- Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians while remaining directly hands-on
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience designing and laying out complex, high-speed or mixed-signal PCBs
- Strong proficiency with schematic capture and PCB CAD tools (
Altium preferred
) - Experience taking hardware from early prototypes into production
- Solid background in high-speed interfaces, dense connectors, and power systems
- Experience working directly with contract manufacturers and navigating DFM and production bring-up
- Clear communicator with strong documentation habits
- Designs move quickly from concept to working hardware with minimal re-spins
- Manufacturing partners are aligned and builds progress smoothly
- Hardware scales reliably as volumes increase
- The team trusts your execution, judgment, and ability to move fast without sacrificing quality
- You stay deeply hands-on while helping elevate the overall engineering bar
