Security Engineer, Device Security

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with web protocols and familiarity with common security vulnerabilities and remediation strategies
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Understanding of system security vulnerabilities, remediation techniques, and penetration testing
• Proficiency in identifying security flaws and performing related assessments
• Basic coding skills for problem-solving with limited assistance
• Experience with cloud services, especially AWS, is preferred

• Detect security weaknesses in various Amazon device services
• Advise Amazon divisions on secure device and service development, including design reviews and threat modeling
• Research and create tools to enhance security practices on devices and services
• Offer technical security guidance and support to product teams
• Collaborate with engineers to address identified security risks and develop mitigation strategies
