Door Dash is looking for an Engineering Manager with strong product sense to lead two high-impact teams:
Fleets and Delivery Experience (Delivery Exp).
The Fleets team is building a world-class Fleets product to accelerate Drive’s growth across multiple verticals, including prescription (Rx), automotive, healthcare, catering, and beyond. This team is at the forefront of scaling and augmenting our fleet network to meet the evolving needs of Drive and its partners.
The Delivery Exp team is focused on building best-in-class experiences for both Dashers (Dx) and Drive Customers (Cx). This highly cross‑functional team works on critical flows such as pickup/drop‑off for Dashers and order tracking for Drive customers. The north star metric is improving delivery quality across all Drive deliveries—raising reliability, transparency, and customer satisfaction at scale.
Both teams are full‑stack, spanning backend, frontend, and mobile engineering.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead both the Delivery XP and Fleets teams within Door Dash Drive. This role is central to shaping the future of Drive by improving delivery quality metrics, scaling our Fleets product, and expanding into emerging verticals.
You will guide teams in building robust systems and customer‑facing experiences while ensuring reliability, scalability, and engineering velocity to support Drive’s growth at global scale. Beyond optimizing existing systems, you will also champion 0→1 initiatives—identifying, launching, and growing new products that unlock untapped opportunities and strengthen Drive’s delivery backbone.

- Improve core delivery quality metrics for all Drive deliveries, enhancing both Dasher and customer experiences.
- Build and scale Fleets products across multiple verticals (Rx, auto, health, catering, etc.) to support Drive’s long‑term growth.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Business, and Operations partners to define the roadmap and deliver against ambitious goals.
- Provide technical leadership through architectural guidance, code reviews, and professional development for a team of 8+.
- Foster a strong culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Grow the team by partnering with Recruiting to hire diverse, inclusive, and top‑tier talent.
- Hands‑on leadership and strong product intuition
- 2+ years of experience in people management leading full‑stack teams (backend, web, mobile) of 10+ engineers
- 8+ years of industry experience
- Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast‑paced, product‑focused development environment
- Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future.
