Gymnastics Instructor - Sunnyvale

Purpose

Provide school‑aged children building blocks for success through the physical activity of gymnastics. Instructors are expected to bring professionalism, enthusiasm, safe practices, and their own unique strengths to their teaching देते while following all guidelines as outlined in the Rec Instructor Handbook. CSC has a curriculum which must be incorporated into all lessons. Success in this position is measured by each instructor’s ability to build their own classes, develop positive relationships with students and parents, and graduate students up to the next level.

Instructors work for the Site Manager, and teach with the support and guidance of a Coordinator who is in charge of setting the standards of instruction for the programs. Instructors also implement and/or promote specific themes, skills, goals, projects, and events, as assigned. CSC instructors also enthusiastically collaborate with site leadership to refine the customer experience – to benefit all students, parents, and staff.

• Must have a valid work permit if under 18; pass fingerprinting if 18+.
• Must have a negative TB test.
• A passion for working with children.
• Complete all ‘conditions of employment’ for the position.
• Able to lift/assist levels assigned (minimum 45 lbs.).
foreign (Experience in child related services or youth sports coaching.
• Bonus – Background as an athlete in competitive gymnastics, or proven background in teaching.

Leadership – Self‑motivated, but also a team player. Confidently leads groups of children. Knowledge – Develops a strong understanding of beginner & intermediate gymnastics concepts. Utilizes appropriate skill progressions & development, and knows all associated terminology. Communication – Demonstrates strong communication skills with parents & students, fellow coaches, and CSC office staff & management.

Minimum – $25.00 per hour
