Job Summary
Summary: Coordinates move activities for company office assets across multiple locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates move activities for company office assets across locations.
- Logs new move requests in the move tracking spreadsheet.
- Coordinates and conducts minor moves of boxes, furniture, and file cabinets with assistance as needed.
- Coordinates move timing with requestor.
- Conducts condition assessment of furniture and movable equipment; assesses items based upon the criteria provided to determine whether to relocate to storage or to deliver to the appropriate waste stream.
- Maintains organization of the warehouse and shelled spaces; manages incoming and outgoing materials to maintain order within the warehouse.
- Creates work orders needed to support moves; works with requester to consolidate tasks into a single work request.
- Installs and removes items to support moves; uses hand and power tools for installation. Uses minor tools as needed to disassemble furniture and equipment. Uses equipment for moving including hand trucks, furniture dollies, and carts.
- Coordinates the receiving of items to support moves; works with vendors, the loading dock, and other move team members to coordinate the delivery of furniture for moves.
- Drives a truck to meet scheduled and on demand move needs.
- Loads and unloads trucks to move furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials as directed.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly fashion.
- Follows standard and prescribed safety regulations; notifies supervisor of any problems or delays in projects.
- Supports members of the move team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF readers/editors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and push/pull a minimum of 100 pounds.
- Ability to use a tape measure and understand and calculate dimensions.
- Ability to read and understand architectural floor plans or construction drawings.
- Ability to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms.
