Fire & Security Service Engineer (Temporary Sub-Contract Role)

V7 are recruiting experienced Fire & Security Service Engineers, with a strong fire alarm background, to support a national commercial contract based in Sunderland. While this is a multi-skilled role, the position is primarily fire-focused, covering servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, alongside security systems.

This role offers stable, long-term subcontract work on commercial sites across Sunderland and the surrounding area.

The Role
Initial 6-month rolling contract
Monday to Friday working pattern (weekend work available)
Servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting (primary focus)
Reactive fault-finding and remedial repairs on fire systems
Servicing and maintaining security systems, including access control and door entry, as required
Working across commercial sites throughout Sunderland

Competitive hourly rate with weekly pay every Friday
Rates from £33.00 to £35.00 per hour
Overtime readily available

Proven experience in servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems

Experience with emergency lighting
Working knowledge of security systems, including access control and door entry
Ability to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance works
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Valid DBS check required
