Heavy Goods Mechanic / HGV MET Technician

We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Heavy Goods / Commercial Mechanic (HGV MET Technician) to join our team and play a vital role in restoring commercial vehicles to pre-accident condition.

What You’ll Be Doing

Dismantling and reassembling commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, following manufacturer repair methods

Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and carrying out repairs to a high standard

Working with the latest tools, technology, and diagnostic equipment

Liaising with other technicians to ensure a smooth and efficient repair process

Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as an MET Technician within a bodyshop or accident repair environment

Ideally, HGV mechanical experience combined with MET skills for commercial vehicle repair

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and trim systems

ATA accreditation (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

A professional attitude with integrity, accountability, and pride in workmanship
