We are seeking an experienced ILMT / Flexera Specialist with a strong background in IBM and Red Hat products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining and upgrading software asset management (SAM) tools, particularly IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) and Flexera, to ensure compliance and maintenance, enabling software assets to be managed efficiently.

This position will be a full-time, permanent role, with hybrid working between your home address, and our office location in Doxford, Sunderland.

• Perform platform Health Checks of stakeholder SAM tools to generate reports detailing key areas for improvement and recommendations.
• Manage and optimize the use of ILMT and Flexera tools from a platform level to ensure license tracking compliance.
• Execute SAM tool upgrades and maintenance tasks in line with vendor recommendations, ensuring good health in both internal and customer environments.
• Maintain accurate software inventory records and monitor license usage.
• Provide recommendations on virtualisation models to ensure reporting compliance within the SAM tooling.
• Stay up to date with changes in key vendor licensing models and policies such as IBM, Red Hat and Microsoft.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for effective software asset management.

• Strong expertise in ILMT and Flexera tools for maintenance and license tracking.
• Experience with different deployment types, such as virtualisation of endpoints, disconnected environments and cloud models.
• Understanding of IBM Passport Advantage, Red Hat subscriptions, and associated licensing models.
• Experience conducting environment health checks on customer SAM platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CSAM, ITIL, IBM ILMT Certification) are a plus.
