About The Role

We are looking for Bank Support Workers covering, evenings, nights and weekends in Sunderland (SR2 7TR
).

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live.

We specialise in residential care, supported living and outreach services supporting people with autism and learning difficulties. We constantly strive to provide homes with a relaxed atmosphere that promotes individuality, giving each person we support the right to dignity, choice, privacy and independence.

We champion the integration of people into the community, by using local facilities such as shops, cafes, libraries, public houses and leisure centres – drawing on public and private transport for outings or holidays.

The Role

The main focus of the support is to enable the people we support to live a full and happy life, to run their own home and to take part a range of activities in the community.

Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.

Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way. Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice. General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.

As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

About The Service

Tynedale House - Swanton Care, is a stunning service that has 5-bedrooms based in Sunderland, located on Ashbrooke Range where there are lovely local parks, restaurants, and shops. We provide person centred support, diversity and integrity to those with a wide range of: learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, communication needs and other complex needs including challenging behaviour.
