Job Title: Registered Manager (Ofsted)
Provision: Children's Home, 7 to 17, EBD 2 Bed
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Location: Sunderland
Reporting to: Registered Manager
About The Company:Established 10 years ago, originally supporting children and young people across the North East with Care Leaver and Supported Living Services. Due to the continuing expansion in both Supported Living and Children’s Home Residential, there is now a fantastic opportunity to join one of the Residential Children’s Home provisions in Sunderland. Staff development is at the heart of the company ethos and they believe that by looking after the staff you in turn provide the best service, provision and environment for the Young People.
Whowe are looking:
A Deputy who has extensive experience working in EBD or LD (or other homes such as SEMH, CCE, PSB, Therapeutic, Crisis) who is ready to step up to Registered Manager.
This role will also suit a Registered Manager looking to move into a family-friendly company that truly values and empowers its staff.
The Home:Will and does cater for YPs with Mild Learning Disabilities and EBD
The home provides person-centred support and care for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 17 (on admission) years with a variety of different needs and requirements.
What you will be responsible for, overview:The Registered Manager will plan, organise, and manage the home and undertake the following:
- To take lead responsibility for running and management of the home.
- foster a good team spirit amongst the staff team and develop and maintain good relationships with the local community.
- provide a warm, homely, caring environment within the home whilst catering for the children, taking into account the needs of each individual child.
- Ensure highest standards of physical, social and emotional care is delivered, exceeding any guidance and standards set by Ofsted.
- The post holder will be required to undertake an interview with Ofsted and ensure all relevant documents are submitted to Ofsted in a timely fashion.
Experience:
- Level 5 NVQ in childcare or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting is essential.
