Support worker – Sunderland at Lifeways Group

Lifeways Group is looking for Support Workers to join our residential services in Sunderland. You will support individuals with complex needs in their everyday activities and provide person‑centred care in a supportive community environment.

• Assist service users with general household chores such as cooking, laundry, vacuuming and dusting.
• Support personal care, including bathing, toileting and feeding as required.
• Encourage and facilitate a range of activities, such as swimming, shopping, social outings, cinema visits and visits to zoos or clubs.
• Participate in the care planning process and maintain accurate records of care activities.
• Work within a shift rota basis, including weekends, and take advantage of flexible bank or sessional hours if needed.

• Enthusiastic individual with patience and a strong desire for a career in the care sector.
• Or experienced Support Worker with a background in complex emotional or behavioural settings.

Full‑time shift pattern rota, including weekends. Flexible working available (sessional/bank hours).

Hourly rate: £12.21. Fully paid induction, ongoing training, dedicated manager support and opportunity to undertake a funded health and social care qualification.
