We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Student Progress Development Tutor who can be a real change maker within our college’s Health Department.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping learners’ journeys, supporting them to overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their full potential. By forming strong, supportive relationships with students, staff and external partners, the tutor will contribute to a positive, aspirational environment where every health learner feels valued, motivated and empowered to succeed.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and passionate Student Progression and Development Tutor to join our Health team at Sunderland College, Bede Campus. This role has been created to support the continued growth of our Health provision, which includes programmes of study preparing learners for careers in nursing, midwifery, allied health professions and wider health and social care sectors. Sunderland College is dedicated to providing high‑quality education and training, and we are committed to ensuring our students receive the personalised support they need to succeed.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our students’ progress and personal development, helping them to overcome challenges, build confidence and achieve their full potential. To support the ongoing pastoral care, personal development and academic excellence in our health dept, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Student Progress & Development Tutor, who is passionate about supporting students to develop the essential skills for progression to higher education and the workplace.
