The BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care has been established within the School of Nursing & Health Sciences for a number of years and continues to go from strength to strength. The role will involve theoretical and practical teaching across all three years of the programme, supported by experienced academics and the extended university team.

We offer an outstanding learning environment with simulated ambulance, ward spaces, the Living Lab, state of the art equipment, along with award winning library and student support. Opportunities for personal development are outstanding and include the Helen McArdle Research Institute which uniquely enables all academics to engage with practice research.

The key skills required for the role are:

  • Ability to effectively support the delivery and continual development of undergraduate Paramedic students and related activities
  • Excellent clinical knowledge generally across the Paramedic/healthcare profession and the potential to offer unique specialist skills would be welcomed
  • Academic teaching experience is not necessary but teaching within the practice arena would be beneficial
