PRU SEN Teacher – Alternative Provision

Location: Sunderland
Pay: £120–£220 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are seeking an SEN Teacher to work within an alternative provision setting supporting pupils who require a different approach to education.

This role supports pupils with behavioural, emotional or additional learning needs who benefit from smaller class sizes and tailored teaching.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging, adapted lessons
  • Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Building strong relationships with pupils
  • Working with pastoral and SEN teams
  • Supporting re‑engagement with education

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Holds QTS
  • Has experience in SEN or alternative provision
  • Is resilient and adaptable
  • Enjoys working with vulnerable learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
