Brake Press Setter & Operator

Role Overview

CNC Brake Press Setter Operator based in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey. Up to £18.50 per hour, 40 hour week (£38,500 annual) plus benefits and overtime when available. A leading designer and manufacturer of specialist safety equipment for hazardous areas is actively seeking an experienced CNC Brake Press Setter Operator to join their in‑house Manufacturing Team. Their site in Sunbury is easily reached by both road (2 minutes from the M3) and public transport (few minutes walk from Kempton Park train station) where they have in‑house design, fabrication and testing facilities.

This is an exciting time to be joining them as they continue to expand their core product ranges, integrating technological developments, and developing bespoke solutions to meet specific customer needs.

• Set up and operate the Brake Press and Punch (including Radan programming) working with 316L stainless steel, mostly 3mm but occasionally down to 1mm.
• After successful training become a Sheet Metal Worker.
• Read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.

• Experience as a CNC Brake Press Operator, Sheet Metal Worker, Setter / Operator, fabricator, welder, or workshop technician / operative.
• Experience of using either a CNC brake press or punch machine.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently as well as within a team, and comfortable managing several projects simultaneously.

In return they are willing to pay an attractive hourly rate (please state your requirement upon application) and the following:

• 40 hour week.
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays (total 27 days with additional days awarded for service).
• Company sick pay available after probation, increasing with length of service.
• Flexible start and finish times – 7am‑8am start, no earlier than 4pm finish, lunchtime on Fridays if all hours made up.
