TRADES MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST - PLUMBER

Regular Days/

Hours:

Mon‑Fri; 6am‑2:30pm. Must also be able to work weekends if there is an emergency.

Job Summary

Perform minor plumbing repair and troubleshooting on Recreation Centers of Sun City (RCSC) wide variety of plumbing, water/gas systems, structures and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform minor plumbing repair and preventative maintenance tasks on all building systems and equipment as assigned with an emphasis on plumbing systems.
  • Forecast equipment, parts, materials, supplies and vendor services costs during budget preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date work order records via computerized Asset Management system.
  • Obtain bids, coordinate, and oversee contractors as needed.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Communicate thoughtfully, clearly, and professionally with RCSC staff and cardholders.
  • Participate in mandatory safety training and prioritize safety throughout the workday.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned including but not limited to HVAC, Electrical, Pool and Fitness equipment maintenance and repair.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of general building maintenance experience.
  • Experience performing minor commercial plumbing troubleshooting & repair.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management system preferred.
  • Must possess a valid State of Arizona driver’s license and safe driving record.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the tools and techniques used in the Plumbing trade to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair miscellaneous building systems.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Must possess good reading, comprehension, spelling, math, analytical and legible writing skills.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Familiarity with blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge and use of personal protective equipment required for the job.
