The Banner Boswell PCU Oncology Unit consists of 22 private rooms with the ability to flex up to 42 semi‑private rooms and up to 16 remote cardiac monitors centrally monitored from a centralized monitor room viewing station. Eleven of our 22 private rooms are designated for Medical Oncology patients and chemotherapy administration. Eleven additional rooms are designated for general surgeries such as urology, plastics, gynecological and abdominal cases.

The unit also accommodates overflow medical patients with simple pneumonias, diabetes, renal disease, GI issues, and skin disorders. This unit participates in our Progress In Place initiative, caring for both Medical Surgical and Progressive Care acuity patients on the same unit.

Our RNs choose this unit because of the collaborative team culture and strong leadership. In this role you will have the opportunity to utilize a self‑scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage, enjoy an 18% night shift differential, and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.

We are filling Part Time, Night shift positions, 7:00 pm–7:30 am.

** A sign‑on bonus is offered based on the shift and FTE—Part Time Nights, $10,000.00. Other details are provided by the recruiter.

Position Summary

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. The role is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by themselves or others they direct, utilizing specialized knowledge and judgment to assess data and plan and provide care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Functions
  • Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and ensures completion within the appropriate timeframe. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
