Position SummaryThe RN Clinical Support Analyst will support the clinical operations of Banner Health Ambulatory and Acute Services, providing informatics expertise for acute specialty and ambulatory care clinical areas. As a resource, the ideal candidate offers ongoing clinical user support for various clinical teams and committees, serving as a liaison between clinical team members and central education, Nursing Informatics, and Clinical Applications Solution IT teams to communicate user needs and facilitate system optimization.
CoreFunctions
- Apply nursing standards to outcome coordination functions, promote holistic understanding of technology to improve clinical workflows and patient care, and perform user acceptance testing for system enhancements.
- Perform educator functions by influencing end‑user training through clinical expertise, contributing to communication and education plans, and utilizing data analytics to support needs‑based training.
- Serve as consultant and project coordinator, maintaining ongoing user communication, supporting new and existing IT clinical applications, and helping define issues and enhancement opportunities.
- Act as advocate to ensure technology solutions support patient care standards and outcomes, resolving conflicts between workflow and the electronic health record.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of healthcare IT trends, electronic health record developments, clinical practices, regulatory standards, and organizational direction, applying evidence‐based research methods to support users and process teams.
- Interact with and support all levels of end users throughout the facility or specialty area, including technicians, nurses, therapists, and physicians.
All levels of management and staff, medical staff, and other healthcare members for the purpose of integrating services, improving patient care, ensuring effective communication systems, and facilitating decision making in clinical practice.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or related business discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Active RN license in a practicing state.
- Two to three years of experience in a complex and diverse health care setting.
- Proficiency in standard office applications and basic understanding of integrated clinical systems.
- Highly developed interpersonal and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly, convey messages clearly to diverse audiences, promote change among large groups, coordinate information and activities, work under stress and frequent interruptions, and possess analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with clinical care processes and information technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Certification in Nursing Informatics.
- Additional related education and/or experience.
