• Minimum of five years coaching experience.
• Must possess or demonstrate the qualifications to obtain South Carolina educator certification.

Principal and Athletic Director

Based upon credentials and experience in accordance with the district-approved pay scale.

• Provides leadership and assists the Athletic Director in the selection, assignment, and evaluation of athletic coaches and staff members.
• Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic program.
• Responsible for the health and safety of student athletes; ensures that proper safety and first aid procedures are followed at all times, follows all appropriate emergency procedures, and ensures all participants have a valid physical examination before participation.
• Promotes and maintains positive relationships with parents and student athletes, conducting parent meetings prior to the beginning of the season.
• Ensures that the sports program complies with the rules and regulations of the school, District, South Carolina High School League, affiliated Conference and Region, as well as all other legal requirements of school athletic programs; communicates all policies, rules, procedures, and requirements to team members.
• Ensures appropriate behavior of assigned coaching staff, players, and other team personnel at all times.
• Ensures punctual attendance at scheduled coaches’ meetings and rules clinics. Promotes the sports program by sponsoring fundraisers, youth camps, and team camps.

Salary and work year to be recommended by the Superintendent and approved by the Board.
