Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Our continuum of care encompasses prevention, mental health services, and foster care. DescriptionOur organization is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to youth and families. The Youth Stabilization department seeks a Youth Support Partner who will deliver engagement, support, mentoring, and advocacy to the youth on their caseload.
What will you do as a Youth Support Partner?- Provide engagement, support, guidance, mentoring, advocacy, and empowerment to assigned youth.
- Engage and mentor youth to support their treatment plans, empower self‑advocacy, and provide transportation (with reimbursement).
- Respond to crises, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and coordinate with team members.
- Manage irregular hours, set your own schedule, and complete administrative tasks during the day while service visits and youth engagement occur in the afternoons and evenings.
- Starting pay range: $19.71–$20.67 hourly
- Full‑time benefits: health, dental, vision, short‑term and long‑term disability, life insurance, 401(k) match, education reimbursement, referral bonus, and free EAP services.
- Paid time off: 3 weeks PTO in the first year plus 10 paid holidays, volunteer PTO, and mileage reimbursement.
- Clinical supervision reimbursement of $60 for eligible candidates obtaining licensure.
- Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness and state loan repayment up to $50,000 after 10 years of service.
- iPhone and laptop provided for eligible roles, and multiple opportunities for growth.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field preferred.
- At least one year of relevant professional experience with the population served.
- Preferred: personal lived experience with youth.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet any credentialing, licensing, or privileging standards for the department.
- All candidates must pass a drug screening test and an extensive background check.
